League Names Dr. Matea Deliu as Chief Medical Information Officer — Uniting Clinical Leadership and AI at Scale

A practicing physician and health system executive, Dr. Deliu has spent her career at the intersection of clinical practice, large-scale system transformation, and healthcare AI policy. Dr. Deliu is one of healthcare’s most influential voices on AI, serving as Primary Care Lead for Responsible AI UK, shaping the governance and evaluation frameworks that will determine how clinical AI gets deployed safely at scale. She has also worked hand-in-hand with NHS England London Region on the NHS App, the patient-facing digital platform serving over 39 million people. As Chief Clinical Information Officer for Bromley Healthcare and Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, she oversees care for millions across one of the most complex, diverse patient populations anywhere in the world.
