League uses various technologies to collect information, such as cookies and web beacons. In this Policy we explain what cookies and tracking technologies we use, the reasons why we use them and how you can opt-out of our use of cookies and tracking technologies. 

What are cookies and web beacons?

Cookies are small pieces of information that a website sends to your device while you are viewing a site. We may use both session cookies (which expire once you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which usually stay on your device until you delete them) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience.  You can learn more about cookies by visiting

Web beacons are digital images that are used to log information on the Platform or in our emails. We use web beacons to manage cookies, count visits, and to learn what marketing works and what does not. We also use web beacons to tell if you open or act on our emails.

How do we use them?

Strictly necessary – These cookies are essential to provide you with Services available through our Platform and to enable you to use some of its features. Without these cookies, the Service that you have asked for cannot be provided. We only use these cookies to provide you with those Services.

Functionality – These cookies and similar technologies let us remember choices you make when you use our Platform. The purpose of these cookies is to provide you with a more personal experience and to make your use of the Platform more tailored.

Performance and Analytics – These cookies and similar technologies collect information on how users interact with the Platform and help us improve how the Platform operates. For example, we use Google Analytics to help us understand how Members use our Platform to identify areas for improvement such as navigation, user experience, and campaigns. 

Social Media – These cookies are used when you share information using a social media sharing button or “like” button on our Platform or you link your account or engage with our content on or through a social networking website such as Twitter or LinkedIn. The social network will record that you have done this.

Targeting or Advertising – These cookies collect information about your browsing habits to make advertising relevant to you and your interests. They remember the websites you have visited and that information is shared with other parties such as advertising technology service providers and advertisers. Please note that we do not use any tracking technologies for third-party advertisements in our Platform. Any marketing or promotion is coming from League directly and is based on your Health Profile and use of the Platform. We may use targeting or advertising cookies and tracking technologies on our website which is independent from your Member account and experience. 

If you’d like details on which cookies, tracking and other analytics technologies are active in your browser—or you’d like to opt out, you can use tools like Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin, or Ghostery. Please note that those tools are just a few of many tools that can be used. You understand that we in no way endorse the use of these tools and we are not in any way affiliated with their respective developers, so we do not assume any liability for any consequences arising from the use of these tools.

How can I opt-out?

Disabling Cookies – You can typically remove or reject cookies through your browser or device settings. To do so, follow the instructions provided by your browser or device (usually located within the “settings,” “help” “tools,” or “edit” functions). Many browsers and devices are set to accept cookies until you change your settings. If you do not accept our cookies, you may experience some inconvenience while using our Platform. For example, we may not be able to recognize your computer or device and you may need to log in every time you visit our Platform.

Google Analytics – We use Google Analytics to understand how you engage with our Platform. The technologies used by Google may collect information such as your truncated IP address, time of visit, whether you are a return visitor, and any referring website. The information generated by Google Analytics will be transmitted to and stored by Google and will be subject to Google’s privacy policies.  If you don’t want Analytics to be used, you can learn how to opt out here.

Flash Cookies – We may use Local Storage Objects (LSO) such as HTML5 (“Flash Cookies”) to store your user information and settings. Many browsers include their own management tools for removing LSO. To manage Flash Cookies please click here

Do Not Track Signals – Some browsers include the ability to transmit “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals. At the moment, the meanings of DNT signals and responses, and the correct behavior regarding DNT signals, are not defined. Until the standard is finalized, our Platform does not process or respond to DNT signals. To learn more about DNT, please visit League takes privacy and choices regarding privacy seriously and will make efforts to continue to monitor the development around DNT technology and the implementation of a standard.
