Accessibility Multi-Year Plan

1. Statement of Commitment 

League Inc. (hereinafter called ‘We’/’Our’) is committed to treating all people in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence. We believe in integration and equal opportunity. We are committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner and will do so by preventing and removing barriers to accessibility and meeting accessibility requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (“AODA”). The plan will be reviewed and updated at least once every 5 years. We will train every person as soon as practicable after being hired and provide training in respect of any changes to our Accessibility policies. We will maintain records of the training provided including the dates on which the training was provided and the number of individuals to whom it was provided.

2. Accessible Emergency Information

We are committed to providing our employees with disabilities with individualized emergency response information when necessary.

3. Employment

We are committed to fair and accessible employment practices by taking the following steps:

  • Update online career page with our commitment to accessibility
  • Upon request, we will make reasonable accommodations for staff with disabilities during the recruitment and assessment processes and when people are hired

We will develop and put in place individual accommodation plans and return-to-work plans for employees that have been absent due to a disability. We will provide an open forum for reporting any accessibility barriers and needed accommodation to prevent and remove other accessibility barriers identified.

4. Training

We will provide training to employees and other staff members on Ontario’s accessibility laws and on the Human Rights Code as it relates to people with disabilities. Training will be provided in a way that best suits the duties of employees and other staff members.

We will take the following steps to ensure employees are provided with the necessary training:

  • Post and communicate our Accessibility Policy to our employees 
  • Will make training modules available internally to all our employees
  • Ensure all current employees and new hires have received the Accessibility Policy and training

5. Information and Communications

We are committed to meeting the communication needs of people with disabilities. We will consult with people with disabilities whenever possible to determine their information and communication needs.

We will continue to take the following steps to ensure the content on our websites and mobile applications conforms with WCAG 2.1, Level AA:

  • Review new content and ensure it is up to date with WCAG 2.1, Level AA
  • Make any amendments as necessary

We have taken the following steps to make sure existing feedback processes are accessible to the people with disabilities upon request:

  • List feedback process in Accessibility Policy
  • Created a communication channel to contact us at accessibility@league.com

We have taken the following steps to make sure all publicly available information on our website is made accessible upon request:

  • Upon request, provide publicly available information in different ways (ex: screen reader, read aloud etc.)
