League healthcare CX platform earns NCQA certifications

Today we announced that League has received the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Measure Certifications™ for Wellness & Health Promotion (WHP) in Health Appraisal and Self-Management Tools. These certifications demonstrate that the League platform meets NCQA’s strict standards for accuracy, reliability, and effectiveness in promoting healthy behaviors and improving health outcomes.

The certifications are specifically for League’s self-management tools and proprietary health appraisal. Within the League platform, these functions play a key role in driving ongoing health engagement, identifying individual risk factors, assessing health status, and providing personalized recommendations. League is widely recognized for offering the highest level of personalization in the industry, which drives health engagement approximately 6X higher than the healthcare average.

Founded in 2014 and with $235 million in venture capital funding to date, the League platform is trusted by some of healthcare’s most iconic brands including Highmark Health, Manulife, and Medibank.

“Achieving NCQA certification is a testament to our dedication to building human-centric healthcare experiences designed for engagement,” said Mike Serbinis, founder and CEO of League. “We’ve created a platform that makes care easy to find, understand and use, empowering people to take action in their own health.”

NCQA is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving healthcare quality. NCQA accredits and certifies a wide range of healthcare organizations. It also recognizes clinicians and practices in key areas of performance. NCQA’s Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) is the most widely used performance measurement tool in healthcare. NCQA’s website (ncqa.org) contains information to help consumers, employers and others make more informed healthcare choices. NCQA can be found online at ncqa.org.

“I congratulate League for distinguishing itself by earning Wellness & Health Promotion Certification. This achievement signals to the market that League is organized and ready to improve population health,” explained Margaret E. O’Kane, President of NCQA.

This recognition further builds on League’s recent momentum, including the announcement of a series of AI powered health experience solutions as well as international expansion, having secured a major partnership with Medibank, Australia’s largest private health insurer.
